"Emily Birch's mesmeric millinery has become a must-have for Ascot with the likes of Sadie Frost already hooked."
Camilla Tominey, Royal Editor, Sunday Express.

Emily Birch is both the young Creative Director and Designer behind the fresh faced company Emily - London, and is now becoming a well recognised milliner on the London based circuit.

Her passion for hats grew whilst modelling. Emily was inspired by a job she did for the milliner to the Queen, and decided to follow her dream by studying Millinery at the London College of Fashion.

Work experience followed with milliner Rachel Skinner and a subsequent two year apprenticeship with the Royal milliner. There, Emily's passion for her trade was nurtured and sealed. She was highly privileged to work on hats for members of the Royal family including Princess Alexandra and Her Majesty the Queen.

With the decision to focus on her own label, Emily - London was launched and already has attracted a loyal clientele and is becoming increasingly popular with celebrities, stylists and the Press.

A collaboration with Fenwicks has seen the launch of a effervescent contemporary Spring / Summer 08 Capsule collection and the Primrose Hill boutique Shikasuki is holding two exhibitions over summer 08 and winter 08, growing Emily's label to a new and demanding commercial platform.

Today, Emily designs two beautiful and inspiring ready-to-wear seasonal collections. Mixing functionality and femininity, each of her creations demonstrates couture craftsmanship, attention to detail and a perfectly tailored finish. Emily takes pride in using the highest quality materials in each of her designs.

Each Emily - London collection evolves and matures independently of fashions trends and maintains Emily's strong sense of uniqueness and originality, making each hat or hair accessory, a piece of art in its' own right and a pleasure to own.
